About Me

Hi, my name is Neil. I want to help people understand three things: 1.   How tech-enabled firms can best engage government. 2.   How government can further innovation. 3.   How technology can make government better. I strive to explain what public policies mean, how they’re implemented, and why they succeed or fail. Previously, I worked at AVIA and Cleversafe, led policy and strategic initiatives at Cook County, and coordinated advocacy efforts for Chicago’s bid for the Olympic Games and the Chicago Cubs. I went to Northwestern twice – once for undergrad, a second time for my MBA, and am a new SF resident – please say hello on Twitter @nkhare.
